Every Ghosts and Legends Tour includes a 90-minute moonlight walk through town filled with macabre tales of murder, mystique and mayhem along the Jersey Shore! Be prepared for a truly haunting experience, as many have reported the chilling touch of phantom hands, the vision of ghostly orbs, the scent of cotton candy and even heard the soft tinkling of calliope music long since silenced.

Experience the haunted past of this 'City by the Sea' with a moonlit stroll along Asbury Park’s historic boardwalk. Encounter true tales of terror aboard a doomed luxury liner, inside a historic theater engulfed by a mysterious fire and in the dark waters which hide many spine-tingling secrets.

The Boardwalk Tour* departs from Asbury Park Convention Hall at precisely 7:30pm every Friday.

There’s much more to the historic village of Smithville than you imagined! Your nightly journey through this quaint village might be accompanied by the spirit of a lost little girl or the infamous Jersey Devil said to lurk in the still shadows.

The Village Greene Tour* departs in Historic Smithville (in Galloway Township) from the Covered Bridge at precisely 8:00pm on October 22nd and October 28th.

This is one haunted walk guaranteed to show you spirits! (the drinkable kind, that is). Take a guided indoor tour through Asbury Park’s dark and deadly past while you relax INSIDE some of the city’s most historic and reportedly haunted locations.

The Pub Tour* departs from Paranormal Books & Curiosities at precisely 8:30pm every Thursday.

All tours last approximately 90 minutes (larger groups may last up to 120 minutes) and are suitable for enthusiasts of all ages, with the exception of the Pub Tour (which is restricted to adults over the age of 21). We ask that all guests arrive at least 15 minutes before departure. Guests should be prepared to walk at a leisurely pace, but comfortable shoes are recommended. Still cameras are welcome on the tour, but video and audio recording are strictly prohibited. For those planning group outings with us, please make certain ALL members of your group make a reservation.

*RESERVATIONS and CANCELLATION POLICY

All tours require reservations and a minimum of five guests to provide you with the best possible tour. You can make reservations in person, by calling 732-455-3188 or by emailing us at tours@paranormalbooksnj.com. We also require a credit card number to hold your reservation, however you will NOT be charged unless you fail to show up OR you cancel within two hours of the tour. Cancellations can be made up to 2 hours prior to the start of your tour with no penalty. However, should you fail to cancel your reservation, your card will be charged 100% of the value of your tickets. Tours will be cancelled in the event of inclement weather, so please provide a phone number so that we may contact you to reschedule.

My wife and I went on the Haunted Tour of downtown Asbury Park and have since recommended that all of our friends do the same. For the same price of a movie we were taken all around downtown Asbury, a beautiful town in it's own right but also one rife with history and paranormal happenings. The tour was lead by Nicole and Chris both of whom have a near encyclopedic knowledge of the history and happening of the area. Probably the best compliment I could give is that the tour is fun whether you believe in ghosts or not. There's so many interesting stories that you'll hear about each place you visit that whether or not a haunting occurred after the fact is almost irrelevant. They do three tours, the downtown tour, a boardwalk tour and a pub tour. My wife and I will definitely be back for the other two. If your looking for something to do other than the Jersey standard, Dinner and a Movie, do yourself a favor and take one of these tours. —Jay (August 2011)
